Beautifully crafted recycled sterling silver heart ring from the Sweet Hearts range.
 
The hearts have been hand sculpted by me and then cast in a precious metal using the traditional, centuries old method of wax casting.
 
The range is designed to be simple, sculptural, modern and stylish with a Scandinavian feel.
 
I was inspired to create the shape of the hearts by a piece of Swedish art glass.
 
The heart is a traditional token of love and affection and this ring would be a wonderful, personal gift for a cherished person such as a friend or a sister. It would be suitable as wedding jewellery, maybe for a bridesmaid or would be perfect as a gift for a special romantic occasion such a Valentine’s Day.

The ring shank is made from D section sterling silver wire which means it is substantial but comfortable to wear. It is textured with a specialist hammer then given a matt finish.
 
In contrast to the matt finish of the ring shank, I have bright polished the silver heart and added a slick of brush applied oxidation to enhance the sculptural detail.
